Master Class:
Screenprinting on Glass

Dates: August 12th - 16th, 9am - 5pm
​
Students will learn all of the parts of the process from coating a screen to the final print to firing schedules. At the end of the course, each student will take home a series of pieces from tests to a final project that incorporates both powders and enamels. Jen will also provide information on how students can build their own screen print shop.

In celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the 19th Amendment, ‘Tools of the Trade’ is the first of two all women shows the gallery is hosting in 2020. Jen will displaying multiple large scale pieces from glass, bronze, print media and found objects. This exhibit references and pays homage to the tradition of "women's work" in the contemporary realm.

Jen will be displaying two new bodies of work. Both are series of kiln cast frames hues of blues, grays, and greens with screen print. The images of landscapes, clouds, and bridges are taken from her original photography.​

For this exhibition, Jen has created a new piece just for this exhibition where she transformed a Victorian photo album into a lightbox which holds a screen print on glass. Gallery proceeds for this show are going to the Artist Relief Fund, an initiative to provide grants and information to artists struggling through the Covid-19 crisis.

Jen has created a series of glass frames with screen prints. The images are appropriated from photographs found in her family’s albums. Each piece depicts shoes worn during different moments in a woman’s life.
Residency and Workshop

Dates: August 14th - 21st
During her residency, she will work with the hot shop team to create a series of experimental prints and afterwards the team with roll up the image onto sculptural elements. Concurrently, Jen will be conducting a workshop which explores experimental screen printing on glass. This workshop will cover different approaches to printing onto glass.
